Lilia Lalova
ILLUSTRATOR
I have been designing book covers for more than fifteen years, working with both independent authors and publishers across a wide range of genres. Over time, my style has evolved through experimentation, change, and personal growth, eventually settling into an approach that is intuitive, atmospheric, and deeply story-driven.
I focus on quiet tension, colour, and visual balance , my personal style is more shadows and light. For me, a cover is not simply an image, but a threshold: the moment where a story begins to speak before the first page is turned.
I work with authors who value depth, clarity, and emotional resonance. Every project is approached with care and respect for the narrative it represents. My process is instinctive but intentional, guided by the belief that a cover should feel honest to the story it holds.
Design is not decoration for me. It is communication. It is the visual language that introduces a world, sets a tone, and invites the right reader to step inside.
