Terms and Conditions

All prices are listed in Australian Dollars

All orders are fulfilled on the assumption that you, the customer, are ordering the correct title, format, edition and quantity of items in your shopping cart and thereby are requesting Leschenault Press to initiate Print on Demand (firm sale) orders on your behalf.

All customers are to be aware that due to the nature of Print on Demand orders, all placement of orders are for firm sales and no refunds for a change of mind can be processed. This is because Leschenault Press is purchasing the items from suppliers with no option to return them. All customers, when entering into an order transaction on our website verify that the items are being purchased for personal or business use and are not being purchased for commercial resale.

PLEASE NOTE: As Leschenault Press operates as a limited choice online bookstore; our primary means of communication with you will be via the email address listed on your Leschenault Press account. Leschenault Press will not be held responsible for any missed communication due to the email address being incorrect. If you have more than one email address, please check all email accounts before contacting Leschenault Press.

Changing Or Cancelling Orders

Delivery Times

Items are processed for order on placement. Print on Demand and delivery times are outwith Leschenault Press’s control but a reasonable time frame of 12 working days from placement is expected for all orders within the UK delivery area. If you have not received your goods after 12 working days, please contact us at sales@leschenaultpress.com

Insufficient And/Or Incorrect Delivery Information

Customers who enter addresses that Royal Mail or other dispatch and courier services have deemed having incorrect and/or insufficient details to ensure delivery may result in the following:

  • Delayed delivery
  • Lost parcel
  • Package/s returned to the Leschenault Press Print on Demand supplier

If Leschenault Press is found to be responsible for incorrectly addressing a package then Leschenault Press will be responsible for the resending, replacement or refund of the items not delivered or delayed, including any further cost of packaging and delivery.

Any package returned to Leschenault Press due to the above incorrect and/or insufficient information supplied by the customer will require an extra delivery charge to be dispatched again to the customer (using new delivery information to be confirmed by the customer). Also, if Leschenault Press has incurred extra fees to retrieve the package from Royal Mail or other courier services, due to above incorrect or insufficient information supplied by the customer, then these charges will also be borne by the customer before the package can be dispatched again.

Any shipment that is materially delayed or lost and is found to have had incorrect and/or insufficient details provided by the customer will not be covered by Leschenault Press. NO REFUNDS and NO STORE CREDITS are applicable.

If the package has the correct delivery information and is ‘lost’ by a tracked courier service delivery, Leschenault Press will replace the items (at Leschenault Press’s cost) only after you have checked with your local Post Office. If your package has not arrived after 12 working days of placing your order, you must contact Leschenault Press within 30 days after that 12 day period to report a ‘lost’ package otherwise no store credit or refund (if applicable) will be available.

Charging Of Credit Cards

A credit card is charged for physical items immediately upon placement of the online order. If Leschenault Press is unable to charge a customer’s credit card due to insufficient funds or other errors, then Leschenault Press will attempt to contact the customer by email. If the customer does not contact Leschenault Press to resolve the issue then the order will be cancelled. Please note that stock availability and prices may change if the time between placing the order and credit card details being corrected or funds being available is delayed.

Orders With Multiple Items

Customers with more than one item may be sent their items in multiple shipments. Leschenault Press holds on to items for up to 6 business days after the first item has been allocated to the order to include as many items in one shipment as possible.

Non-UK Orders

Leschenault Press cannot fulfil orders placed for delivery outside of the UK area.

Completion Of An Order & Outstanding Items

An order will be complete when either of the following occurs (i) all items were sent and delivered (ii) Leschenault Press could not charge the credit card and the unprocessed order was cancelled.

Privacy Policy

Leschenault Press keeps all personal information submitted in the strictest confidence and in accordance with Leschenault Press’s privacy policy. The information is kept on a secure server and is only used to process orders from Leschenault Press. This information will not be released to anyone other than necessary to fulfil your order. In some instances Leschenault Press suppliers will fulfil directly to you, the customer, to improve delivery times and your contact information is kept in the strictest confidence. We will not rent or sell your personal information to any third party outside of Leschenault Press.

Third-Party Service Providers: Leschenault Press may provide the service providers that deliver packages with your email address and/or mobile phone number ONLY to provide customers up to date delivery tracking of dispatched orders.

The information contained on the Leschenault Press website may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. All liability of Leschenault Press Pty Ltd howsoever arising for inaccuracies or errors is expressly excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.

RETURNS POLICY

This policy does not limit the rights you are entitled to under Australian Consumer Law.

Returns for damaged items:

If there is a problem with any of the books received within your order then Leschenault Press, via our contact email at sales@leschenaultpress.com will assist you.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund if the books provided fail to be of acceptable quality, are damaged in transit, are supplied with incorrect specifications or incorrect content.

If you have received an item that is incorrect or damaged, please contact us as soon as possible from the time the delivery was made. Leschenault Press will require evidence of the issue and may require you to return the item for assessment.

Leschenault Press may provide means to return an item at no cost to you or will provide an alternate remedy. If an item is required to be returned (at no cost) it must be packed securely to prevent further damage.

Returns for a customer change of mind:

Leschenault Press is not obligated to accept a return for a change of mind and therefore do not offer such a refund clause. This is necessitated by the fact all of our titles are produced using Print on Demand technology and therefore are issued under firm sale, notwithstanding returns or refunds as laid out in the above returns for damaged items clause.
